Even in full Australian sun, the maximum current delivered was only 1 amp at 4.8 volts, which is only 5W.
Also, it is not suitable for charging mobile phones. When connected to an iphone, it starts charging at 0.8 amps, but if the sunlight is interrupted by a passing cloud, the iphone goes into low charge mode at about 0.1 amps, and it does not return to full charging current when the sunlight to the panel is restored (even though the iphone shows it is charging). I have to disconnect and then reconnect the iphone to restore full charging.
Furthermore, the electronics box is not securely attached, it is only attached by the leads from the solar panel. I had to glue the box to the panel.
However, I can still use this solar panel. It will charge my 10,000 mAh powerbank in about 10 to 12 hours, so it is still usable. But it does not deliver the stated power.
