They shine bright. Consumption at 12.8v 180ma. the converter is linear, as the current strength does not decrease with voltage growth. When working in continuous mode, the heating is about 70C in 30 seconds. For turn signals with interrupted mode this is more than enough. There are diode bridges, so polarity is not important
