The chip is really gigabit, USB is really 3.0, but running at USB 2.0 speed (300-350 Megabits/s). When disassembled, it turned out that during soldering closed the minus wire from one of the USB 3.0 lines, which caused the adapter to work on USB 2.0. After soldering the wires, the adapter continues to work at limited speed, not more than 350 Megabits/s. Plus on the back of the board there were flux residues and the Ethernet connector was not completely soldered.
If you all LCD bought this adapter, I advise the first thing to disassemble it and inspect it for the presence of circuits. Because if you lock 5 V line on any of the USB contacts, the USB controller in the computer will fail (and in the laptops the controller is in the processor...)
