I could never get the special cable this receiver requires to be able to function. Standard DB9 cables with virtual COM connection are not suitable. DB9 connector with 5V power is needed in pin9. Not useful for what I needed, because to just test the receiver I needed to use a breadboardy jumper cables. The seller should better report that the receiver does not work with the standard DB9 RS232 cable with Virtual COM USB. I only recommend this product if you are developing your own PCB with peripherical PDF rs232 db9. I asked for refund and aliexpress team accepted it based on my evidence.

This one didn't work with a Icom IC-7300. I think it must, because it works by the NMEA-183 protocol.
