only one layer, so quite see-through. reflects the price, really... the top shoulder elastic bit is quite tight, I'm generally a medium and I had to stretch it to the point where the stitching came loose and now I have to had stitch it ... the pearls came with which was a great surprise, thank you. Not exact, but close enough for the price, willbuse as a night dress ... arrived fairly quickly
