I use with the head andoer M-12 under Tamron 150-600, weight with a photo-3 kg. Thread 1/4, to head 3/8 screwed through the adapter (not included). The head was fixed with glue 88, so that the spontaneously did not twist. The design turned out to be light (weight from the head-588g.) and quite stable even for such a heavy photo. Now the nuances-sleeve, to which the head is attached, made of plastic, is attached to the bar with two screws. Bushing this dangles-I had to take out and put it on an epoxy. Now nothing luftitis, I'm happy. There would be this sleeve made of Durali and the screw under 3/8 would be generally Super. Still in the kit there is a cover with a zipper, which "did not come in handy".
