The castings overall detail is not as crisp as the 40 yr old eagle bolo i'm replacing but it is of a much stronger construction and relatively speaking, will have cost me less than half the price that i paid in 1978; I'm going to replace the drop ends, they are at least 1cm too short, also too plain in their design and were not plated so their colour does not match the bolo head. The 95cm tie has a good tight weave of quality leather and the magnetic closing presentation case is a nice touch.
